Introduction to the Fujian and Cantonese Guild Hall: Thean Hou Temple is also known as the "Fujian and Cantonese Guild Hall". The inscriptions of "Thean Hou Temple" and "Fujian and Guangdong Family" are still clearly visible on the gate of the ruins. The Fujian and Cantonese Guild Hall was built by a wealthy businessman named Xue in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties with a thousand taels of silver. It was built according to the pattern of the Mazu Temple in Tianhou Palace in Zhangzhou, Fujian.
