Introduction to the Monument of Ming Zhengjun: The Monument of Ming Zhengjun was built in 676 AD to commemorate the construction of the temple at the residence of Ming Monk Shaoshe, a hermit in the Southern Qi Dynasty. This stele was written by Li Zhi, Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty, and was written by Gao Zhengchen. The two characters "Qixia" in the back of the stele were written by Li Zhi personally. The stele contains more than 20,000 crinoid stem fossils from 280 million years ago. It is a treasure in the stele that integrates calligraphy, sculpture and geological specimens. It is also the only well-preserved Tang stele in Jiangnan, and is an extremely rare treasure.
