Introduction to the Monument of King Yu: The Monument of King Yu was erected here by Yang Shiqiao, the official minister of the Ming Dynasty, to commemorate the achievements of Yu the Great in controlling floods. It was later destroyed, and what is seen now is that it was rebuilt in 1998. The stele is more than five feet high, with three steles standing side by side. Each stone is about two feet wide. There are 77 characters engraved on the surface of the stele. The font is neither Oracle Bone Script nor ancient seal script. After research by archaeological experts, it has been identified as "Tadpole Script" or "壣嵝 Script".
