Introduction to Shen Shou's Tomb: Shen Shou's Tomb is located on the east slope of Ma'an Mountain. The door of the tomb faces the southeast. On the banner is engraved "The Tomb of the World Artist Ms. Shen of Wu County". On the white marble tombstone, the sunny side is engraved with "The Spiritual Charm of Ms. Shen of Wu County, a World Artist" written by Zhang Jian, and the shadowy side is engraved with the portrait of Shen Shou.
Shen Shou, a native of Suzhou, whose original name was Shen Yunzhi, nicknamed Xuejun, nicknamed Xuechun, and also known as Master of Tianxiang Pavilion, was a famous embroidery master in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. In August 1914, Shen Shou was hired by Zhang Jian to come to Nantong to found the "Nvhong Institute of Education" and served as the director and chief instructor until his death in 1921.
