Introduction to Yunlong Academy: In the 60th year of Emperor Kangxi’s reign in the Qing Dynasty (AD 1721), Sun Guoyu, the Tongzhi of Huai Xu, once ran a school here. In the 13th year of Yongzheng reign (AD 1735), Li Genyun, the prefect of Xuzhou, transformed it into an academy and named it its current name. Feng Xu, the famous poet and Tanhua, served as the dean, and Wang Qinlin and Liu Xiang, both Jinshi scholars, served as teachers here. The academy was originally a palace-style building in the early Qing Dynasty, including the lecture hall, the Temple of the Four Sages, Wenchang Pavilion, Yifu Hall, Zicui Pavilion, Bailu Cave, Wanghu Pavilion and other buildings. After the Revolution of 1911, the local military government trampled on it wantonly and allowed others to destroy it. The monuments that have been preserved so far include Wanghu Pavilion, Zuishi Pavilion, Dongpo Stone Bed, Huangmaogang Cliff Carvings, etc.
