Introduction to Xishan Bell Tower: Xishan Bell Tower is located in Xishan Park, Wanzhou District, Chongqing. It is as famous as the Shanghai Customs Bell Tower and is a major landscape along the Yangtze River. Founded in 1930 and completed in May 1932, it was designed by architect Dong Bingheng and built by Wuhan Construction Factory. The roof plane is octagonal, adopting the double-layered helmet style of traditional Chinese architecture, and is made of wood. The entire building cost 200,000 silver dollars at that time. Along the Yangtze River, from Chongqing to Shanghai, Wanxian is the only city with an independent bell tower. Since the day it was built, the Bell Tower has become a symbol of Wanxian City and an important architectural landscape along the Yangtze River.
