Introduction to the former residence: The foundation height of the former residence increases with each advancement, which has the characteristics of the residences of Jinshi in the Ming Dynasty. In the middle of the first entrance hangs a plaque titled "Xu Xiake's Former Residence" written by Lu Ding. On the front of the screen is an inscription by Hou Renzhi, a professor at Peking University, and on the back is a relief of Xu Xiake's head.
