Introduction to the Yellow River Stone Forest: The Yellow River Stone Forest was formed during the geological era at the end of the Tertiary Period and the beginning of the Quaternary Period four million years ago. Due to the Yanshan Movement, the rise of the earth's crust, the undercutting of river beds, as well as weathering, rain erosion, and gravity collapse, the stone forest landform wonders are mainly composed of yellow-brown fluvial and lacustrine sandy conglomerates. The steep cliffs in the scenic area are soaring in the sky, with various shapes, twists and turns, and the scenery changes step by step. Stone pillars and stalagmites are generally between 80 and 200 meters tall. Expert inspection and evaluation determined that the Yellow River Stone Forest is a natural wonder in China and has great tourism development value. There are as many as eight ravines in the Stone Forest Scenic Area. Under the strong uplift of the earth's crust, the Yellow River Valley formed a deep canyon, which made the ravine continuously widen. The local light and weak layers quickly cut down under the action of water and gravity, forming a large number of ravines along both sides of the ravine. The stone peaks and stone pillars were also transformed by wind erosion, forming many structures like window lattice on the cliff. The strong effect of water erosion and wind erosion formed the current unique landscape. In the developed Yinmagou Grand Canyon, there are many scenic spots such as lions standing at the gate, falcons looking back, elephants sucking water, thousands of sails racing, seeking scriptures in the west, lovers under the moon, Qu Yuan asking the sky, etc., which are both lifelike in form and spirit.
