Introduction to National Sun Yat-sen University: The predecessor of National Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan was the National University founded by Sun Yat-sen. It was founded together with the Whampoa Military Academy in Guangzhou in 1924. Due to the separation of the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, the school was reopened in Taiwan in 1980, and November 12, the birthday of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, was celebrated as the school anniversary.
