Introduction to Merrion Square: Merrion Square is a Georgian-style square on the south bank of Dublin, which was basically completed in the early 19th century. It is considered the most intact square in the city, surrounded on three sides by Georgian red brick houses; on the west side are Leinster House (House of Representatives and Senate), Government Buildings, Natural History Museum and the National Gallery of Ireland. In the center of the square is a park where the famous Oscar Wilde statue stands.
