Introduction to the monastery: The White Village Monastery was built by Duke Ansfried from the Maas region at the end of the 10th century, and his wife was also buried here. The 12th-century monastery was a solid Romanesque building, and at the end of the 13th century, the church was converted into a Gothic style. The only thing that remains is the tower with stairs on the west side and the basement. In the 15th century, the attached chapel next to the main hall was expanded based on Gothic architecture.
