Pedestrian Street Introduction: Sunwen West Road Cultural Tourism Pedestrian Street starts from Zhongshan Commercial Building in the west and ends at Zhongshan Department Store at the intersection of Yuelai Road in the east. The road is 15 meters wide and about 529 meters long. Sun Wen West Road was called Ying'en Street in ancient times. After the death of Dr. Sun Yat-sen in 1925, it was renamed to commemorate Dr. Sun Yat-sen. In 1997, it was built mainly for protection and restoration. This street gradually expanded from the Sui and Tang Dynasties to 1925, forming its current layout. At that time, "eighteen" commercial shops appeared in the Sun Wen West Road Pedestrian Street, selling paper, cloth, ceramics, seafood, groceries, traditional Chinese medicine, lighting and other types of businesses. It was known as "Little Hong Kong" and "Little Macao". To this day, this pedestrian street is still the most distinctive business district in Zhongshan.
