Introduction to Culai Academy: Culai Academy, also known as "Zuo Study Room", "Zhuxi Temple" and "Jiaoyitang", is located in Culai Village to the north of Culai Mountain. Li Bai, the famous poet of the Tang Dynasty, lived here in seclusion with five friends and created "Zhuxi Liuyi Hall" (Zhuxi Nunnery). During the Baoyuan period of Song Dynasty, when the famous scholar Shi Jie was in mourning at home, he founded the "Cu Lai Academy" here, and people called Shi Jie "Mr. Cu Lai". Dang Huaiying, a scholar of Jin University, studied here and wrote "Zhuxi Collection". Shi Zhen, a professor of Confucianism in the Yuan Dynasty, compiled "Zhuxi'an Collection". Now only the ruins and a few ruined monuments remain. "Tai'an County Chronicle" of the Qing Dynasty records: "Culai Academy, the current site is still called Lecture Hall, and there is Jiang Qian's villa next to it, named: Duyi Hall. Jie sent a poem in Shu and said: 'Four thousand miles away from Lianyunzhan, Duyi Hall There is a book in the hall. '" On the west beam of the site, there are cliff inscriptions such as "Zhuxi", "Cuulai Qianqiu", "Zhushufang", "Xizhao Wonderland", "Zhuxi Nunnery", "Guoyi Place" and so on. . During the Anti-Japanese War, the Tai'an County Party Committee had its office here. There is now the "Taian County Party Committee Site". Behind the ruins of the study room, there are two lines of stone inscriptions with the inscription "Xu Yingyuan climbed Mount Culai, carved in February of the twelfth year of Jiaqing".
