The lock chamber is 196 meters long, the clear width is 16 meters, and the water depth above the sill is 3.5 meters. The gate is a flat horizontally tensioned steel gate. The shape of the upper and lower gate heads is completely different from the general ship lock architectural style. It is a "sail" style and an inverted figure eight.
