Introduction to cultural relics: In order to encourage the scholars in the state school to study hard and move forward, the state school will also carve stones and erect steles for the Jinshi, Juren, etc. who have passed the examination in the past years. This is the remnant of a Ming Dynasty Jinshi inscription stele erected in the Taizhou Confucian Temple. . It was unearthed in Dongyudai River, Taizhou in 2006. The inscription records the list of Jinshi and elected officials from Taizhou from the Hongwu to Hongzhi years.
