Introduction to ancient residences: The exterior walls of ancient residences are made of blue bricks and green tiles with "three smooth and one top" coverings, commonly known as clear water walls. They are jointed with a knife and do not need to be painted with lime. The courtyard floor is paved with small green bricks. The roof is covered with blue-grey butterfly tiles, the floor inside the house is laid with flat "hearth bricks", and the roof beams are made of thick wood, only oiled but not painted.
