Seahorse introduction: The seahorse that lives in the sea has a head like a horse and a tail like a monkey. It looks very strange. It does not look like a fish at all, but it is indeed a fish. Ordinary fish always swim with their heads facing forward and their tails facing backwards. When the seahorse wants to rest, it wraps its long tail around the seaweed to prevent its body from being washed away by the current. There is a "pouch" in the belly of the male seahorse. The female seahorse only lays about 200 eggs into the bag. The male seahorse is responsible for all the rest, starting from incubating the eggs until the young seahorses develop. There are about 35 species of seahorses in the world. Because they can be used as medicine and are dried and processed into handicrafts, they have been heavily fished in recent years and their numbers are declining sharply.
