Introduction to Little Red House: EMI Little Red House, the birthplace of Chinese records. Built in 1921, it is one of the fourth batch of outstanding historical buildings in Shanghai and a cultural relic protection unit in Xuhui District. In the 1930s, it was the French Oriental EMI record company (EMI). After the founding of New China, it was the Shanghai Record Factory. In the early 1980s, it was the Shanghai Branch of the China Record Company. It has witnessed the development of China's record industry for a century. Nie Er, Xian Xinghai, etc. once worked here. Opera performing artists Mei Lanfang and Tan Xinpei and movie stars Zhou Xuan and Ruan Lingyu have all recorded their voices here. Now it is Xiaohonglou Western Restaurant.
