Introduction to the City God's Hall: The City God's Hall is the last entrance hall in the City God's Temple. There are couplets hung on both sides to praise the City God's impartiality and selflessness. "Willingness is prominent". There is also a couplet praising the gods in the hall: "The way of heaven is selfless in doing good and bringing auspiciousness and foretelling good and bad fortunes. Gods should perform meritorious deeds to resolve disasters and distinguish between evil, good, loyalty and evil." It horizontally criticizes "Xie regulates yin and yang". In the center of the City God's Hall is a red-faced wooden statue of the Shanghai County City God, sitting upright. The interior of the Chenghuang Hall is modeled after the county government hall of the Ming Dynasty, with strict ceremonial guards.
