Introduction to Bai Gongguan: Bai Gongguan was originally the villa of Sichuan warlord Bai Ju in the suburbs of Shapingba, Chongqing. In 1939, the military command changed it into a detention center directly under the headquarters of the Military Command Bureau. In 1943, the Bai Mansion was renamed the Third Guesthouse of the China-US Cooperation Institute. After World War II, Bai Gongguan was restored as a detention center and was later called the Department of National Defense Security Bureau Detention Center.
