The president once predicted that Samaranch would be the future president of the Olympic Committee. Finally, his words were verified twenty years later. The second photo shows Samaranch taking over the baton of leading the Olympic cause from his predecessor, Lord Killanin, and beginning his 21-year presidential career. The last picture is a photo of Samaranch with Mr. Rogge, the current President of the International Olympic Committee. He believes that the Olympic cause should be passed down from generation to generation.
