Introduction to the Zhou Family House: The Zhou Family House is located in Dongping Village, Dayi Township. It is a relatively rare and well-preserved large-scale Jiangnan ancient building complex. It is known as a pearl among Qing Dynasty residential buildings in southern Hunan, China. This compound was built in the 16th year of Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1890 AD). It has 48 wooden pillars and 51 large and small houses. Each roof is decorated with carved beams and painted beams. From the top, you can vaguely see patterns such as vases, mirrors, clocks, and figures. . There are many interesting poems written under the eaves. The pillars are carved with dragons, phoenixes, bats, peach blossoms, chrysanthemums, lotus, sunflowers, etc.
