Introduction to Shaofeng: Shaofeng was called Fairy Peak or Xiandingling Peak in ancient times. It is magical and steep with beautiful scenery. It is one of the seventy-two peaks of Nanyue and the highest peak of Shaoshan Mountain. According to legend, Emperor Shun came to Shaofeng during his southern tour and played Shaofeng music, hence the name Shaoshan. Shaofeng Temple, located on the top of Shaofeng Mountain, was built during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty. It has a long history and magical legends. When Mao Zedong was a boy, he often climbed Shaofeng Peak to watch the sunrise and sunset, expressing his pride and ambition.
