Introduction to the Southern Red Flag Canal: The Southern Red Flag Canal is the second most beautiful scenery in the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. The water channel on the left side of the tour is about one meter wide and deep. The water in the channel comes from the spring water of Shenquan River. The total length is more than ten kilometers. It is an artificial miracle created by the Tujia people in Sanguansi Township. The Southern Hongqi Canal was originally called the Xiyukou Water Conservancy Project. Construction started in 1964 and was completed in 1971. Its completion enabled the people in the eight surrounding villages to solve the problems of rice field irrigation and drinking water.
