Introduction to musical instruments: Musical instruments from the Mawangdui Han Tomb. A twenty-five-stringed harp was unearthed from Tomb No. 1, which is the only complete harp from the early Western Han Dynasty discovered so far. Twenty-two-stringed lutes and a set of lutes were also unearthed. In addition to the harps and yus unearthed from Tomb No. 3, there are also lyres and six-hole flutes. These are the first real objects discovered in the Western Han Dynasty. A set of 12 Yu-rhythm pipes, each marked with the name of the rhyme in the early Han Dynasty, adds physical evidence to the discussion of the early Chinese rhyme system.
