Introduction to famous kiln ceramics in Hunan: Hunan’s ceramic industry has a long history and is uniquely brilliant. Among the 150 treasures on display in the museum, there are Xiangyin kiln porcelain with crystal clear glaze and lifelike sculptures, Changsha kiln porcelain with underglaze painting as its decorative feature, and Liling kiln porcelain famous both at home and abroad for its colorful underglaze painting. Among them, the Yuchanyan pottery sherds in Daoxian County, which are more than 10,000 years old, are among the earliest pottery sherds discovered in China. Around the middle of the Eastern Han Dynasty, celadon began to be fired in Hunan.
