Introduction to Nanyue Temple: Nanyue Temple is located at the north end of Nanyue Ancient Town, under Chidi Peak. The temple was originally located on Zhurong Peak. In order to facilitate state (royal) family sacrifices and folk pilgrimage, it was moved to the foot of the mountain in the Sui Dynasty. According to records in "Nanyue Zhi", the Sitianhuo King Temple was built in the early Tang Dynasty. In the 13th year of Tang Kaiyuan (725), the Nanyue Zhenjun Temple was built by Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty. In the fifth year of Tang Tianbao (746), Tang Xuanzong granted the title of Nanyue Zhenjun. As King Si Tian, the temple system was expanded and built according to the scale of the royal palace. By the time of Emperor Suzong of Tang Dynasty, it had reached a considerable scale. In the fourth year of the Xiangfu reign of Dazhong in the Song Dynasty (1011), Zhao Heng, Emperor Zhenzong of the Song Dynasty, named King Nanyue Si Tianzhao the "Holy Emperor of Nanyue Si Tianzhao". Therefore, its architectural form also "promoted from king to emperor" and "imitated the residence of the emperor". It becomes a kind of "customization" and is passed down. After repeated repairs, the existing building was rebuilt in the eighth year of Guangxu's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1882) by Pingjiang Juren Li Yuandu.
