Introduction to Shaman Totem: The word "Shaman" is a Jurchen language, which means a person like a wizard. There are a total of 15 totem poles in the Shaman Totem Forest, with different shapes of gods carved on them. Because shamanism is a primitive polytheism, a polytheistic worship formed under the concept of "animism". The Manchu people believe in many gods, but shamanism does not have temples or shrines, nor does it have full-time clergy such as leaders and priests. People who believe in this religion spontaneously form a "Chama" among the tribe, who is in charge of major activities such as worshiping heaven and earth, mountain gods, land, ancestors, and making wishes. Gods are often represented in the form of wood carvings or paintings.
