Introduction to the Sun-viewing Platform Scenic Area: Legend has it that during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, a traveling monk came here to cultivate his moral character. Every day when the sun rose in the east, the monk would sit on the stone platform with his hands folded, watch the sun and chant sutras. A tiger also came here every day at this time to lie down next to the monk and listen to the sutra. The monk stood up and left after reciting the sutra, and the tiger left with him. As time went by, the tiger also gained spirituality, and traveled around the world with the old monk.
