Introduction to the stone stele at Weihai Weiming City Wall Ruins: The stone stele at Weihai Weiming City Wall Ruins. The back of the stele records a brief introduction to the city wall ruins: Weihai Acropolis was built in the first year of Yongle (1403), with bricks and stones on the outside and rammed earth on the inside. It was repaired many times during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and now only three intermittent sections of the west wall, totaling more than 100 meters, remain. The Huancui Tower in the middle of the west wall was built in 1489. After the reconstruction was completed in 1980, it was announced as a cultural relic protection unit in Weihai City.
