After years of management by Queens Elizabeth and Catherine II, the garden has exquisite and erotic buildings, fresh and soft colors, and is filled with the soft and charming charm of women. It combines the Baroque magnificence, the naturalness of classicism, the sadness of romanticism and the exoticism of Chinese style, becoming a shining pearl in the world of garden art.

Attractions distribution:

Catherine Palace The palace was originally a two-story wooden palace with a simple and fresh style. From 1743 to 1751, Queen Elizabeth rebuilt the palace, transforming its original plain appearance into a majestic, magnificent and luxurious royal palace. The famous architect Rastrelli added a palace church and administrative rooms. The rebuilt palace has five magnificent and distinctive onion-shaped domes on the top, and decorative statues have been added to the walls, making it a truly royal building. Catherine II (1762-17 96) Soon after becoming the master of the Imperial Village, he ordered the original geometric gardens in the palace to be transformed into fashionable English-style gardens. Winding paths replaced straight boulevards, neatly trimmed lawns became thick and lush meadows, and square ponds were changed to ponds with tortuous contours. In the following few short years, cold water baths with agate houses, colonnades for walking and viewing - Cameron Colonnades, hanging gardens, concert halls, lake island houses, as well as memorial columns and monuments erected to commemorate the glorious honors of the Russian army in the Russo-Turkish War, and other ancient Roman-style buildings were built in the expanded park.
During the reign of Catherine II, she often personally led distinguished guests to visit her summer palace room by room, making the Imperial Village an important place for the court to hold grand ceremonies and receive foreign envoys. It even became the political center of Russia and a microcosm of the empire's splendid culture.
