Introduction to the Qiliping Revolutionary Court: In 1927, with the growing strength of the revolutionary ranks of workers and peasants and the rapid development of the revolutionary movement, a revolutionary upsurge set off in Huang'an countryside. In order to use legal weapons to protect the normal development of the peasant movement, the Qiliping Soviet regime established a revolutionary court here to try the lawless local tyrants and evil gentry. This is the early experience of our party’s revolutionary regime that attached great importance to legal work. After the liberation of the country, this court was recognized by the Supreme People's Court as "the first court in the country."
