Introduction to the stele at Zhongyue Songyang Temple: It was erected in the second year of Tianping (535 AD) by Emperor Xiaojing of the Eastern Wei Dynasty. One side of the stele is engraved with Buddha statues from 94 caves, and the upper side is engraved with a large Buddhist niche, which contains one Buddha, two Bodhisattvas and three disciples. The reliefs of the flying boy figures on the lintel of the niche and the patterns on the sides of the stele are quite exquisite. They are the finest works of stone carving art in the Central Plains. .
