The Egyptian Museum is one of the most famous museums in the world and the largest museum of ancient Egyptian artifacts. It is located in Tahrir Square in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. It was designed and built by the famous French archaeologist Mariette in Pula, north of Cairo in 1863. It is a treasure house of relics of ancient Egyptian civilization with a long history of more than 3,000 years.
