Introduction to the Chaomen: The four handsome and free-spirited characters "Green Lotus and Beautiful Shadow" are written on the plaque on the gate. It is said that the Li family claimed to be descendants of the great poet Li Bai of the Tang Dynasty in order to show their prominent family background, so they took the name "Qinglian". Named after "Lian Jushi". The gate faces south, forming a 45-degree angle with the central axis of the main house. It faces the direction of the Yangtze River, which contains profound Feng Shui principles and means "dragon leaping over the sea" and also implies rolling wealth.
