Introduction to the East-West Corridor: The East-West Corridor is a long row of verandas on the left and right in front of Dacheng Hall, facing each other, forming a closed courtyard with Dacheng Gate and Dacheng Hall. There are statues of sixty-eight disciples of Confucius in the corridor. The original verandah building collapsed due to disrepair in the 1950s. During the overhaul in 2006, engineers discovered its blue brick foundation and rebuilt it accordingly.
