Introduction to the Rhododendron Garden: The Rhododendron Garden is the first national Rhododendron garden in China approved for construction by the State Forestry Administration. It is a gene bank of Rhododendron germplasm resources in China. Covering an area of 30 hectares, it has collected more than 300 species (including varieties) of Rhododendron plants, 750 provenances, more than 2,000 populations, and more than one million Rhododendrons. The park has six types of landscape divisions: azaleas, evergreen rhododendrons, rhododendrons and germplasm resource collection core nurseries. Among them, there are 4 azalea protection and display areas, covering an area of 12 hectares. The main species include nearly 100 varieties including staghorn azalea, streamside azalea, azalea, mountain red and splendid azalea. In the park, you can also enjoy the new species of Zhangjiajie Rhododendron and Tianmenshan Rhododendron discovered and named by experts from the Provincial Botanical Garden, as well as the new selected azalea varieties "Xishi Rhododendron", "Big Flower Golden Calyx", "Gland Calyx Baixiang", etc. At present, the garden is known as the Rhododendron garden with the largest number of Rhododendron plant species per unit area, the richest biodiversity, and the best ornamental landscape in China.
