Introduction to the Buddha statues in the Four-Gate Pagoda: In the Four-Gate Pagoda, there are four Sui Dynasty Buddha statues, facing all directions. Among them, the east-facing Aksu Buddha was stolen in 1997 and later fled to Taiwan. In 2002, Master Sheng Yan of Dharma Drum Mountain in Taiwan led a delegation to return it to the Four Gate Pagoda, where it was restored and integrated into the Buddha body, and a grand consecration ceremony was held, which caused a sensation.
