Scenic spot introduction:

Baiyangdian, known as "the Jiangnan of the North and the West Lake of the North", is the largest lake on the Haihe Plain in China. It is located in the central part of Hebei Province. It was formerly known as Baiyangdian and Xidian. It was formed by the confluence of water on the edge of the fan depression at the intersection of the Yongding River and Hutuo River alluvial fans in front of the Taihang Mountains. There are 143 lakes of various sizes, among which Baiyangdian is the largest, collectively known as Baiyangdian.
The people of Baiyangdian have a glorious revolutionary tradition. Xin Putian, who joined the Communist Party in 1923, was sent by the Shunzhi Provincial Committee to his hometown, Majiazhai, to carry out the peasant movement. In the summer of 1927, Liu Yiyu, a Communist Party member, was sent by the Baoding Prefectural Committee of the Communist Party of China to Beifeng Village in Dianchi District to establish the first party branch in Dianchi District with Wang Jiaji and others. Revolutionary martyrs such as Xin Putian, Liu Yiyu, Li Zhiguang, and Hou Zhuofu, in order to seek a way to save the country and the people, abandoned their families and careers, devoted themselves to the revolution, adhered to the truth, and would rather die than surrender, becoming role models for Communist Party members to learn from. During the Anti-Japanese War, the anti-Japanese armed "Yanling Team" active in Baiyangdian, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, took advantage of the favorable terrain of the Dianchi District, which was full of reed marshes and crisscrossed ditches and rivers, to carry out flexible and mobile guerrilla warfare, defeating the strong with the weak, and severely hitting the Japanese invaders.

Baiyangdian Lake covers an area of 336 square kilometers, with rich aquatic resources and more than 50 kinds of freshwater fish. Baiyangdian Lake is protected by dikes, with trenches crisscrossing the lake, rivers and lakes connected, fields interlaced, and water villages hidden in the water. The lake is rippling with waves, water birds chirping, reeds swaying, and lotus fragrance emanating from the air, forming a beautiful ecological landscape.
