The Jiulong Waterfall in Huangshan is one of the seven famous waterfalls in China. It is 600 meters long and has a drop of 360 meters. It has nine bends, each bend is a waterfall, and each pause is a pool. The landscape of the waterfall and the pool has been listed as a World Natural and Cultural Heritage.

Attractions distribution:

Huangshan Jiulong Waterfall is located on the mountainside of Yungu West Road. The waterfall originates from Tiandu, Yuping and Liandan peaks, converges into Yungu Creek, and then rushes down the cliff between Xianglu and Luohan peaks. The waterfall is 600 meters long and has a drop of 360 meters. There are nine bends in the waterfall, and each bend is a waterfall. There is a poem that says: "The flying spring is not inferior to the Kuanglu Waterfall, and the cliff supports the sky and hangs nine dragons."

1. Emerald Valley and Nine Dragon Waterfall are both filming locations for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. You can visit them in one day. You can visit Nine Dragon Waterfall when there is water. You can climb up to the third, fourth, and fifth waterfalls to experience them up close.

2. You should go to Emerald Valley and Nine Dragon Waterfall before climbing Mount Huangshan. Otherwise, if you go to these two places after climbing Mount Huangshan, you will not have the physical strength and they cannot stand the comparison with the beautiful scenery of Mount Huangshan.

3. Tips for shooting waterfalls: Take a test shot first, adjust the shutter and aperture, etc., and try to use a tripod to fix the camera. When shooting people and waterfalls, it is best to use a wide-angle lens and wear bright clothes to create a contrast. Be sure to protect the camera well, and you can put a plastic bag on the outside of the camera to prevent water from entering the lens and camera body.

4. It is not recommended to buy local specialties around the scenic area as the prices are relatively high and the quality of the goods cannot be guaranteed.

Tour route:

Jiulong Waterfall Tour Route: After entering the scenic area, keep going up, passing Longnutan, Yanbo Bridge, Meilin Book House and other attractions on the way. You can reach it in about half an hour. Ninth Waterfall , which is also the filming location of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Then walk up past the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth waterfalls, turn right, cross a small bridge, and walk about a kilometer to the best place to view the Jiulong Waterfall → Waterfall Viewing Pavilion. After viewing the panoramic view of the Jiulong Waterfall, walk directly down the mountain to Kuzhu Creek and then take a car back.

How to get there:

From Huangshan City: Take the bus from Tunxi to Taiping at the bus station and get off at the entrance of Jiulong Waterfall Scenic Area. The fare is about 15 yuan per person.

Depart from Tangkou: Take a local private minivan or car in Tangkou Town, the fare is about 10 yuan per person (round trip)

Self-driving: Take the Hetonghuang Expressway out of Tangkou and turn right for five kilometers to reach the scenic spot.
