Introduction to the Yuantong Palace: The main hall, the Yuantong Palace, is five bays wide, six bays deep, with a double eaves resting on the mountain, with a total height of 23 meters and an area of 1,450 square meters. It is currently the largest ancient southern Fujian-style traditional wood and stone structure in the country. Just like the early ancient temples in Taiwan, all the bluestone and white stone materials in the palace were taken from Hui'an, Quanzhou, camphor wood, and Fushan fir. After being carved according to traditional methods, they were transported north to Kunshan and then worked by Quanzhou craftsmen. In the hall, the benevolent and compassionate Guanshiyin Bodhisattva preaches the Dharma with a kind face, saves the suffering, and vows to save all sentient beings.
