Introduction to the new bridge: The new bridge, also known as Liji Bridge, is located on Xishi Street in Shaxi. The bridge is 15.3 meters long and spans the Laoqipu River. The bridge was built in the seventh year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty (1634). It was renovated twice during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. The original wooden bridge was transformed into the current single-hole stone bridge. Because Liji Bridge is well maintained, it is also called the "New Bridge".
