Introduction to Cervantes Square: A tall bronze statue of Cervantes stands in the center of "Cervantes" Square. Next to the square is the Alcala Government Building. To the west of the square is an ancient north-south path with buildings along the road. Most of them were built during the Renaissance. The weathered stone pillars with blurred textures support somewhat deformed wooden beams, witnessing the vicissitudes of this town.
