Introduction to San Cristóbal Cathedral:Santa Iglesia Catedral de San Cristóbal de La Laguna (Santa Iglesia Catedral de San Cristóbal de La Laguna) is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Cristóbal in Laguna The cathedral was built from 1904 to 1915 in neoclassical, neo-Gothic, and Renaissance styles. The cathedral is dedicated to Our Lady of Los Remedios, the conqueror of the island and the founder of the city, Alonso Fernandez. De Lugo's remains are also buried in the church. Every year the statue of Christ in La Laguna parades here and stays for several days.
