Introduction to the Reina Sofía Art Center: The Reina Sofía Art Center ((Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía)) is one of the largest museums in the world and is named after Queen Sofía of Spain. The exhibition hall was officially opened on September 10, 1992. It is a national museum of 20th century art, displaying impressionism, expressionism, European and American paintings in the second half of the 20th century. The main collection highlights are masterpieces by two Spanish masters of the 20th century - Pablo Picasso's "Guernica" and works by Salvador Dali.
