Observation deck introduction: In front of the relief, a special platform has been set up to facilitate tourists to view this historic site up close. There were originally three Greek inscriptions inscribed on the relief at different periods, respectively describing major events in the relationship between Bulgaria and Byzantium at that time. However, the inscriptions have been severely eroded and it is difficult to read them all.
