Introduction to Palace Güell: Palau Güell, also translated as Palace of Guell, was designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi in 1888. The owner is Catalan industrial tycoon Guell. Eusebi Guell was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984. The Güell family coat of arms is cast in iron between the arches of the building. The parabolic vault design of the central hall is unique, and the vaults and columns are influenced by the Alhambra Palace. Chimneys of various designs are the ancestors of many bold chimney shapes later designed by Gaudí. Gaudí’s beloved porcelain collage method was also used on a large scale here for the first time.
