Introduction to St. James's Cathedral: The original building of St. James's Cathedral (Catedral de Santiago de Compostela) was built in 889 AD, in which the remains of St. James, the heroic saint who fought against the pagans, are buried. In 1074 AD, the cathedral was rebuilt in a Baroque-Romanesque architectural style, and was designated by the Pope as a place of pilgrimage in the 12th century. Over thousands of years, pilgrims have continued to flock to it. Due to years of rain, the entire base of the church has been covered with moss, which matches the dark glass above and shows the majestic and dignified extraordinary momentum of the entire building. Founded in 1748, the original church did not have a bell tower.
