Introduction to Dusit Palace: Dusit Maha Prasad was built in 1789. It is the earliest building in the Grand Palace and is a typical Siamese style. On the balcony on the north wing of the main hall, there is a teak wood throne used by King Rama I when he ascended the throne. It uses complex conch inlay technology. Behind the throne is a magnificent "flaming sun" pattern. All kings and queens of the Rama Dynasty would stop here and hold condolence ceremonies before being cremated.
