Nantong Langshan Scenic Area has a perfect combination of "the first river and mountain". On the vast Jianghai plain, five high mountains, Junshan, Jianshan, Langshan, Ma'anshan and Huangnishan, rise from the ground and stand majestically on the riverside, like five emerald green jades inlaid on the bank of the Yangtze River. The bright, natural and unparalleled beautiful landscape has won the reputation of "natural water and stone bonsai".

Nantong Langshan Scenic Area is located on the north bank of the Yangtze River, six kilometers south of Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. The total area of the scenic area is 11.27 square kilometers. It consists of five mountains: Junshan, Jianshan, Langshan, Ma'anshan and Huangnishan. The area has beautiful natural scenery, rich cultural landscapes and profound cultural heritage: Langshan, the first of the five mountains, is the dojo of Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva and one of the eight famous small mountains of Chinese Buddhism. There are many cultural relics and historical sites on the mountain, and temples are lined up. It is famous for its efficacy and is popular all year round. Believers are endless; the Horticultural Expo Park was built on the Ma'anshan and Huangnishan, with the theme of "Mountain and Water Charm, River and Sea Wind". It is a masterpiece of garden art in Jiangsu Province and an excellent place to enjoy the river view and gardens; Seok Yuen It is a memorial garden for Mr. Zhang Jian, the top scholar in the late Qing Dynasty, a modern national industrialist and educator. It is a national key cultural relic protection unit. The garden has towering ancient trees and an elegant environment. It is the largest botanical garden in Nantong. It is said that Junshan was the place where Qin Shihuang stationed his troops, hence the name Junshan. The Putuo Courtyard on the mountain houses the world's largest jadeite statue of Guanyin. The ridge of Jianshan protrudes like a blade, and the foothills are inclined in an orderly manner, like a lying long sword, hence the name Jianshan. The Wenshu Courtyard on the mountain houses Wenju Bodhisattva.
